I just love this
movie! It stars the great James Cagney (a devout Catholic!), Pat O'Brien,
Humphrey Bogart, and the Dead End Kids. Cagney plays Rocky Sullivan, a gangster
whose childhood friend is a holy priest (O'Brien).

In this scene,
Rocky Sullivan is going to his execution accompanied by his childhood friend,
now known as Father Jerry Connelly. The priest asks Cagney ("Rocky Sullivan")
to repent or to at least act yellow-bellied so that the Dead End Kids who
worship Rocky won't see the gangster's death as "heroic" in any way.
